Our goal is to augment data privacy on public blockchains while introducing a flexible approach to compliance, making it accessible to a diverse user base, from individuals to institutional giants. Privacy pools are a novel concept designed to balance transaction privacy and with the need to ensure compliance while still allowing users to benefit from the public nature of the blockchain. The protocol introduces a mechanism for users to reveal certain properties of their transaction without having to reveal the transaction itself. The protocol employs three proof types: Privacy pools by 0xbow is a compliant way to anonymously transact on ethereum 0xbow blocks illicit actors to ensure pool integrity.
