Now that i've got my hands on it i figured i'd share my thoughts with y'all I initially was hoping to get the ecm bottomless portafilter because i like chrome. A portafilter that's closed with the 2 little spout thingies, makes a difference in the taste of the beverage Having recently acquired my first [relatively inexpensive] espresso machine, it came with a closed portafilter with 2 little spouty things (it looks like this) After i get paid next. Bottomless portafilter allows you tu have a good look at what happens during brewing and visually pick up channeling issues
Other big advantage for me is that it is way easier to clean (no hidden parts, no small grooves, no places where coffee can be stuck to dry and leave a foul taste or smell). The bottomless portafilter from normcore fits my bambino plus better than brevilles own portafilters It locks in really smoothly with less effort It's a really nice portafilter for the bambino. At first, the hose pulleys didn't recognize the space as a bottomless supply so i fed the hose pulleys lava to try and trigger them That worked and made the hose pulleys recognize the liquid source as infinite.
When i tried to pump out of it (into a tank), it started bucketing and removing lava I did lower the hose to the bottom I tried repeating it and it did the same thing I don't want my 7 hours of work go to waste because of a.
