As the title states i am attempting to use my nikon d5100 as a webcam I have it set up with a usb cable into my pc and was planning on using webcam utility to get a webcam output. I just downloaded and installed the new version of the nikon webcam utility 1.0.1 over the beta version i was using I'm running it through streamlabs obs on my new windows 10 laptop with a 10th gen i7 processor. Teams, slack, zoom for example Z 7, z 6, z 5, z 50, d6, d850, d780, d500, d7500 und d5600
I own a d5000 and some lenses, i wanted to upgrade and my requirements would be high resolution (at least 20mp) and usable as a webcam (without 30 min hacks) + cheap So i researched and found the free possibility to use the webcam utility. Help with nikon webcam utility hi all, firstly apologies as i have tried my best but have struggled to find a solution to the problem i am facing with trying to set up my dslr as a webcam I have downloaded and installed the nikon webcam utility. Btw nikon have released its own webcam utility and i was really disappointed at this It seems to find my d5300 but ignores it!
Cameras won't turn into that mode without an mtp command from a pc So, i guess, wu is ignoring old cameras consciously. Also check if you are connecting the camera straight to a usb3 port on your computer and not via a hub or something Help with nikon webcam utility 'm trying to use my d7500 as a webcam for streaming It lists as compatible with nikon webcam utility, but when i enable that program as the video capture device (on any software), it just shows a black box with the nikon logo and webcam utility ver Is there a setting on the camera i'm forgetting to enable?
So i connect the cam to my computer via a usb micro cable and successfully installed the nikon webcam utility on the computer with windows 10 There i can see the cam as a device But when i try to use the cam in skype it doesn’t work There is just an image with the nikon webcam utility logo and a black background The camera is constantly on.
