In sum, at&t does not maintain copper/fiber lines because it's incredibly expensive yet you won't admit this It's cheaper to jockey towers and not deal with citizens that demand reasonable copper/fiber mainlines like myself. As copper loop increases speeds decrease 7 plus years ago (2015 and before) att offered speed tiers with different prices, could try to fit a budget at lower speed even though the address might support higher (example pay for internet 3 instead of internet 18 which was $20 higher per month).
