It was even worse back then than it is now. The same isn't going to happen to aella where a guy will be like oh your pussy isnt my prefferred tightness but its adequate enough that i'll tolerate you if you work harder than the tighter girls and make up for it in other ways. The one who posted the gnome nudes on reddit yeeeeaaars ago?? What a wild crossover amazing post, i wasn’t aware of any of this and have been a fan for a while now This is incredibly gross and disappointing Thanks for the great writeup!
Aella is implying that there is something inherently “better” about female scientists who used to be male In other words, she seems to be arguing that there are female scientists and then there are male female scientists who are “more smarter”. Aella comparing the expressive part of writing to the exactness of good science is a complete false equivalency She just wants her internet surveys to be taken as seriously work that hardcore statisticians are doing who are people who work insanely to make sure the stats they are reporting truly reflect the information they are conveying. 502k subscribers in the 196 community If you visit this subreddit, you must post before you leave.
However i used to like her more As time has gone on i've liked her less and less because certain aspects of her personality have become grating, and i think the post about her being r/iamverysmart gets at the problem. I am writing this after watching the recent video about aella and taf talking about the veracity of aella's surveys and how sampling bias might affect the results of her studies I have watched destiny engage with the difficulty surrounding sampling and the extreme efforts to reduce sampling bias that researchers take and i know he laughed when lauren said data is the plural of anecdotes. I think people have this view of science as absolute truth, which just isnt the case for softer sciences, and in the grand scheme, aella's research is actually pretty good She has a 500k sample size survey in a fairly understudied subject and shes been forthcoming about where the responders found the survey as well as their demographics.
