Colace is a stool softener I used it for several months, and then it stopped working at all Right on the label it states for temporary relief of constipation So now i use an herbal tea, noted on my profile page, that i drink each night at 10 pm, and the next morning there no issues with the problem you mention. I'm not going to be able to crush postop Can i take it as is Or.is there another generic which can be crushed or better absorbed whole?? So, i take two colace daily, and then miralax maybe twice a week If i go more than two days without a bm, i add the miralax back in to avoid constipation again I had started to take miralax daily, but i don't like the sudden need to find a bathroom that i seemed to experience on it.
