Well it seems i may have a bad sirius/xm module I haven't had travel link work properly since i picked up my truck I've had sirius reinitialize my radio a half a dozen times and spent a couple hours with their tech people on the phone to no avail They finally came to the conclusion that. I just purchased a 2020 ford ranger and i'd like to have siriusxm satellite radio I explored the dashboard display and my vehicle has sync 3.4 software.
I purchased it new december 2020 and when i started the trip, i had 3,000 miles on it During this trip is the first time i played the radio several hours at a time 3 times the satellite radio faulted. Everything in sync 3 works with the exception of siriusxm When you push the button on the screen, nothing happens It should, in theory, open the app to the preview channel (channel 1) on the radio, but it doesn't do anything
I have an active sirius subscription that i transferred to the car using the vin number and still. So this thread will be about the factory navigation using sirius xm traffic and travel link vs the garmin tread overland I will not be including android. It started about 3 weeks ago, whenever i shut my truck off and restart it the radio will default to an fm channel Sometimes it will default to siriusxm channel 0 If it’s on fm and i select siriusxm as the audio source it goes to channel 0
Sometimes when i start the truck it works fine and i can see traffic, weather, fuel prices, etc But most of the time those features aren't working and the menus says i'm unsubscribed to them which just isn't right Is this an issue with a sync3 update or sirius.
