My hiking/backpacking pants breathe well, but i've torn them My firehose pants are tough, but they feel like a sauna right now in the high 90s I’m considering building a slightly larger day hiking pack than what i currently use (maxpedition pygmy falcon ii) I’m torn between an ll bean continental rucksack and another i found online I have a question about the side pockets on the llbean that i haven’t seen before But what's the deal with the wild swings in price
Why is a witney blanket $50, and the same size hudson bay blanket $150 Is a military surplus blanket, assuming it is 100% wool, that much worse than either of the above Is it strictly a matter of softness I own several wools blankets from american/foreign military to american made I own both fairbault and pendleton red/black plaid blankets They are used around the house, sometimes camping and outdoor events
In your opinion, what is the best overall bushcraft pack and why? Basically, i saw them on the hpg site and sort of looking for a bit of discussion around showshoes, regular mountain skis and and those useful things in between I saw a similar product on varusteleka while ago A few months ago, prior to me being a member of bcusa or i would have documented, i bought a fairly abused buck 119 at the flea market The price was right and i first thought i'd fix it up a bit and make it a user I fixed the broken tip, chipped blade and polished it up a bit
It's a 20 degree bag Right now i'm using an old llbean synthetic bag that's rated for 0 degrees It doesn't work that low anymore and ti weighs over 4 pounds so it's too heavy Part of that is it's a rectangular bag I'm looking for something lighter and semi mummy I think a good place to look for sleeping bag info would be on whiteblaze.
