I had the same issue, but did find a fix First off, i went into the google home app via apps, and uninstalled updates Then i unplugged the tablet dock for a couple of minutes to reset Finally, i plugged back in, docked the tablet and went through the add to google home again Worked for me, and hopefully will work for you.
