After going through this thread, i understand most of us have many questions while we are comparing the available web/business editions of microsoft azure sql database and the new preview features (basic/standard/premium editions). We looking at azure sql database and replicating the azure sql databases across 3 regions Eg west europe, east us and east asia If i deploy a web app say, in the west europe region How do i make the same web app available in east us and east asia Is there perhaps a way to sync the web apps or replicate the web app files?
I don't think it is possible as of today to add a container in a storage account using azure resource manager api It currently surfaces management plane (i.e Create, update, read properties, delete operations on a storage account) and not data plane (i.e If that were the case i would definitely be using a new windows live account to activate our new visual studio subscription I don't really want to create a new windows live account to activate the new visual studio subscription which would be linked to a new azure subscription, i'd rather have a single azure subscription for development. You can publish to azure cloud services web and worker roles from visual studio, you can convert any project into a cloud service project by adding the roles in visual studio.
