The percentage of public school students who were white decreased from 51 to 44 percent, and the percentage of students who were black decreased from 16 to 15 percent. In that year, more than half of hispanic students (56%) and 42% of black students also attended schools where half the students or more shared their race or ethnicity This includes those who attend traditional public schools and public charter schools. With computer science, 42 percent of predominantly black or latino high schools offered it, compared with 54 percent of schools with small black or latino populations.
