Just bought a 1983 scrambler and doing some restoration to it I want to get 35's on it but need to add a lift kit I have been told that skyjacker has the best ride but also should look at old man emu
Need some experienced scramblers with some advice on these lift kits with the softest ride. Ok, last week had a rough night and ended up blowing the fusible link that comes off the solenoid Went back the next morning and fixed that, and when jeep fired up i noticed my fuel lines were cracked coming off the filter (stock 1 inlet, 2 outlet) Had alcan 4 on a cj 5 loved them rode way better than the scrambler As for sway bars i had disconnects on both The scrambler i unhooked and rehooked a couple of times unhooked and removed the sway bar
If you're looking for a smaller 5 speed you may want to consider an nv3500 They came behind 4.8l engines I adapted it to the d300 using a new input. Could someone tell me exactly where the cj8 and scrambler emblems (repros sold on this site) were originally located on the body Did all scramblers have these, or just certain years and/or trim levels Mine doesn't have any logos on it
It was produced in the vam jeep plant in mexico then shipped to psi where it was turned into a tug The second generation of factory built tugs had on board compressed air to tow things with air brakes, but that was the only design change in the 3 years of production and did not merit a change in. Or i use the full fiberglass doors made for a cj with the glass slider windows But i find i like the yj/tj half door combo mix better I have considered either manipulating the frame of my soft door upper to fit the contour, or finding tj uppers for the full soft doors, and seeing if they will mate up to my yj soft lower.
