Hello all, remodeling bathroom and it has vinyl window in that clearly got water damage Looking to replace it with a frameless glass block privacy window It looks like for wood frames you shouldn't use mortar And use expansion foam and stop blocks Im looking to try and make this flush with inside wall so i can cut tub surround and hopefully have some kind of trim kit around the edge to. It turned out great but i’ll never do glass block again Especially ripping it out, that was a miserable day. I put a glass block window in my shower, great for light and privacy and once it is caulked up, no worries about leaks If you go the window route, make sure it is water rated, previous owners had a regular window there for years and it rotted the wall out.
