What happens is it's too rich to fire after two strokes but after two more strokes it builds up compression and fires with more torque. How much power do you gain from stroking a kt Click to expand.i don't really know and tell you the truth i don't really care about power because i have seen any kind of numbers depending on dinos. Was wanting to get more hp by putting a stroker crank and a bigger piston How far does the piston need to be in the hole Does that determan how much of a stroke or do you compensate with the rod and head gasket
I am having a hard time understanding tilly carbs I read that they are not supposed to idle, some alky out the exhaust is okay.why can you not set them to idle What is the difference between setting them to idle on there own or sitting there with your foot on the pedal making them idle. Need help on adjusting my new tillotson carb I have a hesitation when i get on the gas on the start of the race Any suggestions as to what i need to tweak?
That means that you only get around 12 % more torque and thus 12% more power for all the money you spend stroking this thing. I'm putting a tillotson on my kart and i'm not sure how to tune it in I have never used this type of carburetor So what is the best method of dialing this carb in? I’m new to racing flathead limited modifieds and i need some help understanding and figuring out how to adjust the tillotson carburetor while on the track I’ve only raced stock clones
Any help would be greatly appreciated All things being equal the only advantage to de stroking an engine is to raise the mechanical rpm limit of the crank/piston/rod Unless something is done to take advantage of operating at this higher rpm its just a torque loss but with a bit less stress on the rotating assembly. I hate to ask all this questions or list new postings on them All still tied in with stroking an animal You or anybody else would you happen to know off hand the stock cc's on a animal head and the cc's on a formula head.
