From my experience, 55 grain.223 remington shoots as accurately as xm 193 ammo, at least at the ranges i typically shoot at. 5.56 ammo is loaded to slightly higher pressures, yes, but it's not hot As was discussed previously, 5.56 ammo will not cause problems or damage in firearms designed for it. Do note that both of the test firearms are pistols, so the shorter barrels yield lower velocities than what you’ll see on the ammo box I recently went to purchase some 30 round 5.56 mags for my ar They didn't have any, but said the magpul 300 blk mags will work fine with 5.56 rounds in my m400

My 16 virtus 5.56 setup is 1:7 twist and has run all sorts of 223 and 5.56 ammo without issue But prefers the heavier 75g & 77g loads for bench shooting with a scope Generally, she's a moa gun with the heavies and 2 to 4 moa with the lighter 55g ammo. Tried it in two different rifles that have both fired around a thousand rounds of 5.56 from 55 to 77. As for ammo you have a choice of.223rem or 5.56x45 nato For just basic shooting, just get what you can get your hands on, but for sniper like accuracy, get some heavy 5.56 or.223 in the 62 grain and up weights. Just bought my first ar What is anyone's opinion about american eagle/federal 5.56mm xm193 ammo compared to winchester 5.56mm whitebox I know both are 55grain, but i specifically want top know if it is dirtier and if it is comparable in accuracy I will be shooting this through my m400 and my sig516
