I got a call from a number telling me about a california energy rebate program I was wary at first but after they told me that their website was energy.ca.gov and i believed them They said that the rebate can be for windows, hvac, roof, etc. For ac they are more efficient on hot days because there is lots of outside heat they can use and in milder climates they also work for heating However, if the temp drops below 40 most air source heat pumps start losing efficiency and may lose up to 15% efficiency below zero. California has yet to publish any kind of specific language on what's going to happen with the rebates/credits they're going to offer There's also probably a small contractor specific rebate through the brands they sell. In early feb they submitted the paperwork for the tech clean $3100 contractors rebate ahead of the deadline I have yet to get the rebate though after almost 2 1/2 months and when i asked all i got was that it was in “submitted” status.
