While smash is considered something else by nintendo because of it being a crossover game According to the title screens, the first three games are shared by hal and nintendo while smash 4 onwards is fully owned by nintendo. If smash 6 is getting announced then probably that it exists unless sakurai wants to make long term announcements like in brawl and smash 4 If switch 2 edition of ultimate is happening instead then sakurai is probably just supervising. If smash 6 cuts characters, that probably means that a bunch of the veterans will probably end up as dlc Then there's also the posibility of them diping on already represented series as dlc, like they did with fire emblem, final fantasy and xenoblade in ultimate dlc.
For smash 4, most of the newcomers were characters that had a game released between the release of brawl and smash 4 Robin, palutena, little mac, greninja, rosalina, wii fit trainer, etc Shulk is included with this bunch Same thing happened with ultimate Nintendo always goes for recent characters as dlc to promote their newest games. I think smash for switch 2 is going to have tons of music with most of them being new remixes There should be some tracks from kirby air riders and mario kart world and donkey kong bananza! Toon link is mostly more floati cause of brawl And he was floaty in smash 4 and ultimate so floatiness was definitely an intentional design choice for him
Perhaps it was enhanced further with brawl's slower gameplay but if brawl's engine was the sole reason he was floaty, he wouldn't have.
