Salo is a legitimately great movie from an excellent director If you can stomach that, the rest of the movie is worth watching imo Serbian film is definitely skippable though. I'm looking for disturbing and challenging movies like Martyrs, salo (120 days of sodom), the angels' melancholia (or other marian dora movies), high tension, irreversible, the loved ones, and so on. As someone who has watched salo more times than one should
First time i saw it, it fucked me up and i had to stay up for an hour afterward playing zombies ate my neighbors 3rd time, i watched it with a group of friends and it sort of became a joke to the group ( like laughing at it to avoid the truly disgusting nature of it)
