This american psychologist reprint presents suggestions for avoiding heterosexual bias in language concerning lesbians, gay men and bisexual persons. The mission of clgc's task force on bias in psychotherapy with lesbians and gay men was to describe the range of problems that gay male and lesbian clients can face in psychotherapy and to provide an empirical basis for the development of guidelines and suggestions for practice.
