My phone doesn't recognize my aol mail account i am a dinosaur who still uses an @aol.com email account, mostly to catch spam & use when i sign up for new websites

When i bought my pixel 3 (3 years ago), i as able to access my aol mail through the email app by setting up the account on my device. I originally signed in to gmail and google with my aol email account years ago Once i did, it was like a brand new google and gmail account, as i could access google account and preferences and settings I could log onto gmail, though it did not transfer emails i received on xxxxxxxxx@aol.com to google or the gmail app or gmail period First email was a welcome to google email from google. As a result, we prevented a sign in attempt to your [username] account

We strongly recommend that you switch to aol apps such as aol mail on desktop and mobile and remove your account from all other less secure apps. Trying to add aol mail account to google account so i can read both I have heard there are problems when having setting to forward aol mail to gmail checked on the aol app. I'm getting emails addressed to myname@aol.com I don't have an aol account Since there are many issues regarding how to fix aol mail blerk error 1 or aol mail not processing well

These issues can be resolved by following the steps mentioned below

Help center community gmail ©2025 google privacy policy terms of service community policy community overview program policies enable dark mode How to aol mail link opening in crome when opening a web site from an aol email The web site opens in a thin column on the right of the email Can i default open web sites from aol email in chrome? This is getting out of control and i am not sure how to block all this spam email The sender and myaol email is always different and i have no idea how to block this

I do not have an aol.com email, why do i keep receiving these emails to my gmail? Hi philip, aol email is based on yahoo which has recently changed to using an application specific password for outside access (pop3, imap, smtp) So generate an asp in your aol account, and use that instead of the normal password when configuring them in gmail.
