Do you use boiled water to wash and rinse What kind of soap do you use Do you boil your distilled water for the water chamber Has a doctor ever recommended adding anything to the water, like a medication I used to use a soclean ozone cleaner but found i couldn't tolerate it @duvie thank you for the good info on soclean
My husband uses cpap and we have been considering purchasing this cleaning device Cleaning the hose with vinegar is a brilliant idea and at this point an affordable option. Just started cpap therapy in december of 2019 I purchased a soclean machine at the same time During my followup appointment on 1/24/20, i was informed that resmed, the company that makes my cpap will no longer warranty their machines if they are connected to any type of ozone producng cleaning machine.$450 out the window! I have had the resmed cpap and soclean 2 cleaning machine for a couple of years, used without incidents
Hi @franle, i was worried about cleaning the mask and cpap tubing and heating reservoir also They told me daily also and weekly for the hose and reservoir I've been using the soclean machine along with mask surface wipes for a few years I bought the soclean, comtinued sanitation. It is a separate machine to put your gear into clean daily There was some issue with it and a small adapter piece of equipment was designed to connect the hose to before putting the gear in the so clean for daily cleaning
(i has to be disconnected from that adapter before reattaching it to the cpap before use). I regularly use cpap disinfectent wipes on the outside of my cpap machine, mask and exposed surfaces of the machine and tubing In addition, i regularly use a soclean 3 daily for the mask and tubing Every week i use warm, soapy water to clean the tubing, mask and humidifier tank if i used it. Since using the soclean machine, no respiratory issues Just use the machine, clean it with wipes several times weekly, change little filter often
Blessings as you breath and sleep I have recently learned that the manufacturer of the dreamweaver cpap (phillips) is recalling these machines They have evidence that the machines are emitting gasses and particles that may cause cancer I have been using one of these machines for almost five years, and just over a year ago i was diagnosed with cel I would be interested to hear if other cel patients (or other leukemias) are.
