I charge my batteries soon as i get home with a 20amp charger so don't know why one died at 1 year old. The costco deep cycles are garbage I have moved on to the duracell crank battery from batteries plus for my boat So far so good but i've only had it 6 months No more deep cycle lead batteries for me either. I have tanacom 750's 2 are powered from boat battery via a 7 ft tether to scotty power ports on each side
