Hi i'm 8156, our leader is bearpaw You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth Winston churchill keep calm and duc/ski doo on! 2025 elk success thread!!shot my first ever bull He stepped out at 300yards and the first shot right into the boiler room he ran a few steps and just stood there like he hadn’t been hit Second shot dropped him but he was dead on his feet
I captured one of the bullets and the 308 terminal ascent performed very well It took six trips to get him to the truck and. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt elk or moose with the 6.5 either What ammo did each of you guys use on your hunts And can you tell me more about the details Shot distance, shot angle on the animal, how it reacted afterwards, did the bullet exit, etc.?
Spike elk questionstrue spike bull antler restrictions Neither antler of bull elk taken can have branching originating more than four inches above where the antlers attach to the skull Lewis river and siouxon are so choked with debris, most elk have moved out of the nf Weyerhauser permits are better chances than the nf in those gmus. Surrounded by elk and this guy walks right up to mei was walking through a clear cut a couple weeks ago and looked up to see a 2 point standing about 15 yards away looking at me I just froze in the wide open and he walked within 5 yards and slowly away
Not a care in the world It’s crazy how stupid deer get during the rut. Please nudge me in the right direction I feel hopeless.it’s kind of a “welcome to washington elk hunting” Back in the day old timers would say you shoot and elk every seven years I was a little better than that, but tried harder than the average guy
2024 harvest reports are now postedthis is getting in the weeds, but if they really want to bring back deer number in the columbia basin then maybe they shouldn’t give out depredation tags all willy nilly like they’re doing All the reports i hear is these orchards and alfalfa growers will get their hands on 5 or 10 permits to take deer or elk and then in their eyes it’s open season day.
